NEW Rating System

After 3hours of hard work and dedication, I’m glad to announce the new rating system for the ESL Employee Cup : EEC Rating !

Based on the same formula as HLTV 1 rating system, EEC Rating has a major difference : parameters are dynamic !
EEC Rating has 3 parameters : Kill per Round (KPR), Survival per round (SPR) & Multikill per Round (MKR). The General formula for EEC Rating is the following :

EEC Rating = (KPR + 0,7*SPR + MKR) / 2,7

Then for each player, parameters are calculated as such :

  • KPR = (Kills / Rounds) / AverageKPR
  • SPR = ((Rounds – Deaths) / Rounds) / AverageSPR
  • MKR = (1K + (2² * 2K) + (3² * 3K) + (4² * 4K) + (5² * 5K)) / Rounds / AverageMKR

Now you might think : « Hey, those parameters are calculated with themselfs ! This can’t be accurrate !« .

Calm down

Here is the actual trick : HLTV 1 used fixed numbers as AverageKPR, AverageSPR and AverageMKR for its rating’s calculation. EEC rating uses dynamic averages !

  • AverageKPR = (Sum of all Kills / Sum of all Rounds * 10)
  • AverageSPR = (Sum of all Rounds * 10 – Sum of all Deaths) / (Sum of all Rounds *10)
  • AverageMKR = (Sum of all 1K + 2² * Sum of all 2K + … + 5² * Sum of all 5K) / (Sum of all Rounds * 10)

« Anyway, it’s just a low cost HLTV 1 Rating«

… Yes

BUT as KPR, SPR and MKR are dynamic, this means that even if you’re not playing, your stats will be affected by your opponents results !
By doing this I’m trying to give a better and more entertaining estimation of players statistics, as HLTV 1 is not the most accurate way of calculating ratings, and HLTV 2 formula is kept secret.

Anyway, I had fun doing this and I hope you’ll enjoy the end of the tournament !

Good Luck, Have fun !

A new begining for PDG

As you might have heard our team of international superstars has now officially founded the player-owned organisation « Pitch Deck Gladiators ». After a provisional phase in which we already appeared under the PDG flag, we have now formally established the organisation. All players of the PDG roster hold equal shares in the organisation. The formal transition to the PDG organisation is accompanied by a fundamental re-branding. Our new CI along with its’ core element, the logo, is an artistic mishmash of PDG’s founding member’s stunning facial features. It pays tribute to our core values: Equality, but also sexiness. Displaying our logos as steam avatars will not only show our unity as a team, but also distract our opponents making them ponder how this group of good-looking individuals can be so talented at the game of CSGO.

ESL All Stars about recent allegation

After today’s allegation against Elias « Tizzy » Tizagzit the player from ESL All Stars wanted to answer :

For the past few months, our team has been working night and day behind the scenes to build our roster and give our players the opportunity to compete in the best tournaments and leagues in Counter Strike: Global Offensive. However, recent results and complications have forced us to re-evaluate our future in CS:GO. As a result, we keep all our options open for the ESL Internal Counter Strike: Global Offensive2019 season – we want to make sure every player has every opportunity to determine their own future and to succeed.

Without confirming or denying any earlier comments, we are disappointed that in today’s Counter Strike: Global offensive competitive scene any initiatives or conversations of teams taking part might result into leaks and rumours. In order to maintain a professional and further evolving competitive scene we hope this is going to change – in the interest of all involved players, teams & officials.
